STAAR/EOC Reporting Timeline
The spring 2023 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) has been redesigned to align closer to classroom instruction and the unique ways students learn. Reporting final test results for the redesigned STAAR will take a bit longer this year because educators from across the state will meet to provide their expert opinions on the passing scores for the redesigned assessments.
ParentSquare Notification System Coming to Vidor ISD
Vidor ISD Staff and Parents recently received an invitation to join ParentSquare, the new notification system that will be in effect beginning the 23-24 school year. The updated tool brings all district communication under one app so that parents can receive messages by text, email, app, and phone from the district level as well as from the student's campus and classroom teachers. Summer Feeding Program
VISD will kick off its summer feeding program June 5 and will run it through June 29. Breakfast will be served from 7:15-8:30 am followed by lunch from 11:30-1:00 pm. Children 3-18 years old will eat for free and the cost for adult meals will be $3.10 for breakfast and $4.86 for lunch.

VISD Visitor Security System
Vidor ISD utilizes a visitor tracking system that enhances our school security environment. The system reads visitor driver’s licenses (or other government-issued photo IDs), compares information to a sex offender database, alerts campus administrators if a match is found, then (assuming no match was made) prints a visitor badge that includes a photo of the visitor.
