Mark your calendars for the drama department's season opener! The Pirate Players and Junior Pirate Players will present The Little Mermaid on October 20 at 7:00 pm and October 22 at 9:00 am and 7:00 pm. It will be a show you will surely not want to miss!
2016 Reunion Scheduled for October 15
The 2016 Black & Gold Reunion will be held October 15 from 6:30-11:30 pm. Other events during the weekend will include homecoming events, Taste of Vidor, and Business showcase. Contact Mike Kunst, (409)673.7935, for more information.
The VISD Board of Trustees is committed to guiding the district in meeting and exceeding thedistrict goals as established by the VISD mission statement. Next regular school board meeting: Oct. 17, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the VISD Annex.
What an exciting time to be a Pirate in Vidor ISD. With the fall season knocking on our door, there are a couple of huge events coming up for the students, VISD faculty/staff, and Vidor patrons to enjoy.
On Tuesday, October 4 from 5:30-7:30 at Pirate Stadium, the public is invited to come together to celebrate National Night Out, a program that promotes good relations between the police department and the community.
Several organizations will be represented as well as local first responders and the Stable Spirit horses. Free food and drinks will be provided throughout the evening.
In mid-October, we will have our annual Homecoming weekend. The events will kickoff with an early school dismissal and the Main St. parade at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14. The Vidor Pirates will take on Livingston at 7:00 and you won't want to miss the spectacular lights-out halftime show by the Band of Bands. the fun continues on Saturday with a Pirate Family Fun Run, a Taste of Vidor, a Vidor Business Showcase, concluding with a multi-year reunion at the Holiday Inn Plaza.
