A Message from the Superintendent

Dr. Jay KillgoWe are looking forward to another great year at Vidor Independent School District.  I hope that all of our students have had a fantastic summer filled with relaxation, fun, and a time for new opportunities.  It has been a great summer for us at Vidor ISD, also.  Many think we have the summer off but actually our administrators have been busy planning to make education better than ever in our schools.  We have had a team attend intensive training on Kagan Learning strategies this summer in an effort to better meet students’ needs in the district.  We have also worked diligently to determine our district’s goals.  Our 2013-2014 school year was one filled with many successes, but there is always room to grow and improve.  Thank you for letting us be a part of your student’s life and we look forward to preparing them for their future.

The administration, staff and faculty of the Vidor Independent School District are committed to ensuring that all VISD students have access to a quality education. It is our goal to enable our students to achieve their potential so that they may fully participate now and in the future in the social, economic and educational opportunities of this area, our State, and our Nation.
