What's Up Doc? -with Dr. Jay Killgo

Dr. Jay Killgo, SuperintendentWhat an exciting time to be a Pirate in Vidor ISD. With the fall season knocking on our door, there are a couple of huge events coming up for the students, VISD faculty/staff, and Vidor patrons to enjoy.
On Tuesday, October 4 from 5:30-7:30 at Pirate Stadium, the public is invited to come together to celebrate National Night Out, a program that promotes good relations between the police department and the community.
Several organizations will be represented as well as local first responders and the Stable Spirit horses. Free food and drinks will be provided throughout the evening.
In mid-October, we will have our annual Homecoming weekend. The events will kickoff with an early school dismissal and the Main St. parade at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14. The Vidor Pirates will take on Livingston at 7:00 and you won't want to miss the spectacular lights-out halftime show by the Band of Bands. the fun continues on Saturday with a Pirate Family Fun Run, a Taste of Vidor, a Vidor Business Showcase, concluding with a multi-year reunion at the Holiday Inn Plaza.
You can visit our Facebook page, Twitter page or the Vidorian for more information. We hope to see you out and about supporting Vidor ISD and our community.
