Kelly Riley - April District Substitute of the Month

Pine Forest substitute Kelly Riley was nominated by teacher Laurie Beard for the first-ever Substitute of the Month award. Riley is a long-term substitute for Pine Forest 4th grade ELA (English Language Arts) since October. She stepped into a challenging situation and has worked to give the students stability. Not only has she performed all of the jobs of a teacher while on sub pay all of these months, she has been a true team player with her colleagues. She even stepped up and was willing to do after-school STAAR tutoring. "The fourth grade teachers feel very blessed to have her on our team this year," says Beard.
