- Students: Listen up for Tanner Ferris's funeral arrangements and attendance for students. Visitation will be tonight (Wednesday) at 6 pm at Memorial Funeral Home on Highway 12. The service for Tanner will be tomorrow (Thursday) at 2 pm at First Baptist Church, Main Street in Vidor. If you want to attend the funeral you must attend school until 1:30 p.m. Bring a note from your parent or guardian to be released at 1:30 p.m. You must sign out in the main office to be counted here the remainder of the day. Upon return to school turn in a funeral program to the attendance clerk.
- VHS Choirs Present the 1st Annual "Showtime" an evening of Dining and Variety Entertainment Thursday, May 20th at 6:30pm at Vidor Middle School. Tickets are $10 and include a reserved seat, dinner and the show. Tickets are on sale now in the choir room. Anyone is welcome to attend.
- This message is to sophomores and juniors: There will be a Parent meeting tonight in the Library at 6 PM with a representative from Lamar State College Orange regarding dual credit courses. If you are interested in taking courses that earn high school and college credit at the same time, please invite your parents to attend. Students are welcome, as well.
- Juniors Only: If you are interested in going to summer school at the AIM Center HS to earn credits, please see Ms. Lafitte in the counselor’s office for an application.
- Juniors: Your permission slip and money for the field trip is due TODAY. Come by Ms. LaCour's office ASAP to pay and to turn in your form.
- Project Graduation is Sat. night May 29th. Doors open at 9pm and doors will be locked at 11pm.You may not enter or leave after 11pm until 6 am Sunday morning. Please register to attend on the VISD website so money may be allocated for each senior.
- This week Project Graduation will be selling T- Shirts for graduation night at lunch. The cost is $10. If you are interested in helping sell the shirts at lunch see Mrs. Bertrand in the front office.
- Seniors: Balfour will be here during lunches TODAY to deliver caps and gowns. All of your fines and obligations must be cleared with Mrs. Courts by then or you will not receive yours. If you aren't sure if you have any fines, check. Mrs. Courts or other senior English and government and eco teachers have a copy. It is time to take care of your business.
- Seniors: If you have classes in rooms 110, 111, 112, 113, or 114 please check for a list outside the doors to see if you are exempt from exams.
- Seniors: The Baccalaureate Service for you will be on Sunday, May 23rd at First Baptist Church at 2:00.
- There will be a Pirate Player Meeting on Thursday at 3:30 in room 304. We will be electing officers for next year so make sure to attend to cast your vote!
- The student body will be voting on Student Council Treasurer on Friday, May 21st during 2nd period.
- Attention all Freshmen Students: Our Field Trip is tomorrow, you may wear shorts if you are eligible to go. You may also bring fishing poles, baseball equipment, etc.
- On the Thursday and Friday of TAKS testing week some teachers borrowed movies from Mrs. Morphis; those movies have not been returned. Please return these as soon as possible. Thank you.
- Students who are taking Co-Enrollment classes next year need to get their Lamar Orange Applications turned in to their counselor by Friday.
- Exam Day: Seniors who are exempt from exams on Thursday and Friday need to report to their 2nd period class to be counted present before they may leave. Seniors also need to check in with their 2nd period class on Monday and Tuesday and then they may leave. All other grade level students that are exempt from exams need to report to their 2nd period class on exam days and then they may leave.
