Travis Maines, PrincipalPrincipal's Message

At Vidor High School we are dedicated to the district wide slogan of 'Sailing to Excellence'.  It is our goal to strive for excellence in all areas of campus life.  Recently, there have been many changes from the Texas Legislature that have impacted our students and our campus.  While this new legislation may impact what is taught, when it is taught and how it is tested, it has not changed what our purpose is as a staff.  That purpose is to care for the young people of this community and to provide them with the education, training and tools to be successful in the next phase of their lives.  At Vidor High School, we will continue together as a staff to ensure our students leave us with an education allowing them to pursue their own personal goals as well as the ability to contribute to our community and society.
