followed by a master's degree in public administration, with a concentration
in city finance and management, from Angelo State University in San Angelo.
He began his career in public administration by serving as an Ector County

His first city manager position was in Sour Lake,
which led to his current post as Silsbee city manager. Jorgensen also
held the position of Economic Development Council director for Silsbee.
Among his accomplishments during his tenure at Silsbee,
there are two that Jorgensen is particularly proud of. "I
was instrumental in bringing a Super Wal-Mart to Silsbee," Jorgensen
said,"and during my tenure we planned and built a ... municipal building
that houses the Police Department, the Municipal Court and a senior citizens
center.
