Welcome back from the holidays! The faculty and staff at Vidor Elementary wish each of you a very happy and prosperous 2009. We have almost completed the first half of this school year, and are ready to begin the second semester.
January is designated as School Board Appreciation month. Some student artwork will be displayed at the administration building throughout this month. The School Board will be honored at the board meeting on January 19th.
We’re extending an open invitation to parents to visit the VISD Parent Center for free materials to help you help your children at home. The Parent Center is located at 200 Archie.
With your help, Vidor Elementary has collected over 4000 boxtops since school began. The money earned goes toward purchasing new Accelerated Reader tests. Thanks so much, and KEEP COLLECTING THOSE BOXTOPS.
Although we do not want students to come to school when they are sick, good attendance is important! Most classes participate in grade level attendance contests each nine-week period. Help your child help his or her class by having good attendance.
