School Hours
7:00 a.m. - Breakfast
7:05 a.m. - Faculty
7:45 a.m. - Announcements / Student is Tardy
2:35 p.m. - Begin loading buses
2:45 p.m. - Parent pick-up begins (all grades)

Check Out Procedures

If you need to take your child from class for the day:

  • Check in at the office.
  • Sign for your child to be released.
  • Students will be called to the front office.

Lunch Visits

If you would like to visit with your child during his/her lunch:

  • Check in at the office and obtain a visitor's tag (tag must be worn while on campus).
  • Meet your child in the cafeteria and have lunch with him/her at the reserved tables.

Student Safety
  • Student drop-off is located in front of the Cafeteria only until 8:00 a.m. After 8:00 a.m. the cafeteria doors will be locked so students must enter at the main entrance by the front office. Children are not allowed to cross lanes of the driveway unattended.
  • Parent pick-up will take place in front of the Cafeteria only. Students will wait in the cafeteria until their name is called to be sent outside. Then students will stand with a teacher until his/her car stops completely.
  • Day Care pick-up is located at the main entrance. Please do not block this area.

Teacher Conferences
If you would like to speak with your child's teacher, please send a note or call the office (951.8830).
Please do not attempt to conference during afternoon dismissal. This is a very busy time at Vidor Elementary as we ensure the safe return of our students.

Volunteering at Vidor Elementary
We invite you to join our Parent Teacher Organization. Schools with active PTO's are stronger and provide more opportunities for school/community cooperation.
